A Josie-Bea Originals Update

To all of my wonderful customers, friends, and family, I wanted to give you an update on the status of Josie-Bea Originals, or basically me. I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis in December which is not necessarily the best of news, but a relief in knowing what I have and that I will be able to get it under control with medication, exercise and just plain old taking care of myself. I have a great doctor and we have just about gotten the meds tweaked so that I am really starting to feel better. With that being said, I have continued my sewing and monogram business for Crenshaw's Children's Shop, a wonderful boutique located in Bearden in Knoxville. I have made the decision for now to exclusively sew for Crenshaw's who will continue to carry Josie-Bea Originals applique bibs, birthday shirts, big brother/sister shirts, and seasonal items. I will continue to post items I make for Crenshaw's so you can see what is available there from Josie-Bea Originals. I appreciate all of you so much for your well wishes, prayers and support. I hope you will continue to visit the Josie-Bea Originals blog and check out the Josie-Bea items located at Crenshaw's Children's shop too. New items found at Crenshaw's will be posted soon!

Coordinating Birthday Dress and Shirt

This was one of the last things I have done since my taking a break. One of my high school friends' little girl just turned one. She wanted a shirt and dress to coordinate for the day. They had just been to Disney and had a Minnie Mouse pink and purple birthday hat that she also had me coordinate the colors with. I can't wait to see the pictures from the party! Happy Birthday Miss Isabelle!

Taking a Break

I have recently been experiencing very severe joint pain which has left me unable to sew as usual. I have seen my general practitioner who is not convinced that there is not something more going on with my joints than what my blood work indicates. One doctor suggested I may have carpal tunnel syndrome, but my regular doctor who has more thoroughly examined me, thinks that carpal tunnel is probably not the cause of my joint pain since it is not isolated to just my hands and wrist joints. I am seeing a rheumatologist for further evaluation, but until then, I have been told to take a break from sewing for a time. I know it will all be figured out soon and a solution will resolve the problem. Until then, I wanted to let you know that I appreciate your support of me and Josie-Bea Originals. The Lord has special plans to help us grow in all the situations we experience be it pleasant or not. I will trust in His plan for me to see me through.

To the "Max!"

These two little tees were made for two different Max's. I'm not too into the scary skull and cross bones, but this Jolly Roger prepped up a bit makes me want to shout "Arrrrr!". And for the little guy who loves to groove to the music, this little groovy guitar shirt is sure to strike a "chord!"
I loved making these little tees, especially b/c they are for two special friends with sons named Max. So to Max in Massachusetts, "Ahoy me Matey!", and to Max here in Tennessee, "Rock on Dude!" Hope you both like your new shirts. If you'd like a shirt for your own little pirate or rock star please visit my Josie-Bea Originals web store at http://www.josie-bea.com/ for ordering info.
